I’ve been competing in grappling for a long time.
For the first 6ish years of my time training, everything I did was structured by wrestling coaches and strength coaches at my school. My high school wrestling experience gave me the basis for what would eventually become my approach to Jiu-Jitsu training.
But switching from Jiu-Jitsu to wrestling presented new challenges — including a change in lifestyle, new injuries, and new goals.
At 26 — 8 years after beginning this crazy sport — my approaches to health and fitness have completely changed. The way I train today is very different from how I used to train. It’s constantly evolving.
